Summary

Wiluna is a small town situated on the edge of the Western Desert in Western Australia. It is located in the Murchison Goldfield and gold has been mined in the area off and on since 1896. It acts as a service centre for the local Aboriginal people, the pastoral industry and mining industry. Wiluna usually has an Aboriginal population of between 200 and 600 people depending upon what traditional law ceremonies are occurring across the Central Desert region. The town has a general store, caravan park, petrol, sports oval, school, health clinic and more.
