Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Mr Ted Milliken (Assistant Director of Research, Welfare Branch, Darwin) 265/1970) informing Milliken that due to a lack of funds, there will be no replacement of Mrs Payne. Kirk would like one of Milliken's staff to continue Dilys' work at Elcho Island. He also flags a visit to Darwin by a visiting Japanese anthropologist, Dr Keichi Omoto who is interested in the form of ear wax in the Aboriginal people.
