Summary
The Australian National Data Service (ANDS) works collaboratively with data providers and publicly funded research institutions within Australia to enhance research data assets. ANDS provides: advice on all aspects of research data management across all disciplines; resources such as guides, training and online materials; online services such as Register My Data and Research Data Australia; publishing and syndication of research data assets; data citation and digital object identifiers (DOIs); and skills and expertise to help strengthen institutional data management capabilities.
ANDS supported a Major Open Data Project in 2014/2015 which The National Centre for Indigenous Genomics used for: 'Extending the Benefits of Genome Science to Indigenous Australians through Appropriate and Respectful Data Sharing.' ANDS is supported by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy Program.
