- Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Dr Roy T. Simmons
- Description
Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Dr Roy T. Simmons (Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, Vic) (24/5/1968) thanking him for the detailed results of the blood typing on the Elcho Island samples. He is also explaining the publication policy of the International Biological Programme with reference to these results. He suggests that the misunderstanding may have arisen because of other work being done on the side regarding an Albino family. Kirk expects that the Director of Health, NT, will get in touch with Simmons in due course. Kirk also informs Simmons that a further extensive collection of samples from all parts of the Northern Territory is about to begin and will extend over the next 2 months. Kirk proposes to randomly select 100 samples from each batch and send these on to Simmons for typing.
