Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Dr Roy T. Simmons (Senior Consultant, Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, Parkville, Victoria) (13/2/1969) in response to queries raised in recent letters by Simmons. Firstly, Kirk responds to the confusion surrounding samples 200 to 270; secondly, Kirk discusses a named kinship with regard to whether or not they are full-blood Aboriginal people; thirdly, Kirk discusses the tribal name for the people at Elcho Island and the complexities of the social organization in north-east Arnhem Land; and fourthly, he suggests publishing the Elcho Island material as a paper in its own right.
