- Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Professor Peter Parsons
- Description
Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Professor Peter Parsons (School of Biological Sciences, La Trobe University, Victoria) (19/12/1968) saying that he has just received a cable from Carleton Gajdusek asking for the original fingerprints Kirk collected on Tongariki as he would like to compare them with his own collection of prints from Tongariki. Kirk asks Parsons to forward them to Gajdusek if he still has them. He also discusses Dr Schull's visit and his participation in a symposium. Kirk says that he has found Diane Barwick to be extremely antagonistic to the idea of sharing her maps of family relationships material, saying that it was all confidential and would not be released for use by other workers. He suggests deferring this matter until they next meet, either in Canberra or Melbourne.
