Title
Correspondence from T. Milliken to D. Morris
Description

Correspondence from Mr E.P. Milliken (Assistant Director of Research, Welfare Branch, NT Administration) to Dave Morris (superintendent, Methodist Church of Australia, Elcho Island, via Darwin, NT) (4/11/1969) in which he stresses the importance of this piece of research with which Miss Halley is associated to Aboriginal people and internationally. There is no one else who can continue the work. A further blood sampling survey has been planned to commence next week and it is vitally important that Miss Halley be allowed to return to Elcho Island next Saturday. Milliken requests that Halley be offered single accommodation and he shall insist that whatever habits she follows in inviting Aboriginal people to her quarters will conform to the general pattern of behaviour at Elcho. Milliken apologises for writing so strongly but does so because of the total importance of the project which offers benefits to Aboriginal people.
