Alice Springs one of the largest towns in the Northern Territory. The Arrernte people are the traditional custodians of the region including the MacDonnell Ranges and Alice Springs, and the Arrernte name for the region is Mparntwe (m'barn-twa).
Alice is located roughly in the centre of the Australian continent and roughly half way between Darwin and Adelaide. The population is approximately 24,753 (2016 Census).
